PRIVATE LESSONS
Personalized one-to-one instruction is offered on clarinet and saxophone to students of all ages and abilities. Lessons are tailored to meet individual needs, desires and time constraints. Level of lesson intensity at which the lesson is approached is geared to student age, talent, goals and availability of practice time.
GOALS & OBJECTIVES
The student will develop and demonstrate an advanced level of performance in a variety of musical styles. They will study various scales, perform complex rhythmic patterns in various key signatures; and develop an understanding of music theory.
STUDENTS PARTICIPATE IN:
PRIVATE LESSON REQUIREMENTS
Steady attendance, attention to the lesson and good effort are necessary for optimal success.
Daily practice (30 minutes a day for Grades 3-5, 1 hour a day for grades 6-12) and preparation are necessary for students best performance.
The role of the parent/guardian is to provide a quiet area where the students can practice undisturbed.
The parent/guardian must actively be involved in their child's music education by providing patience and encouragement. The student will do their best and feel their best when they gain support.
ACCEPTANCE FOR PRIVATE INSTRUCTION
Students are accepted on a continuing enrollment basis throughout the year. Lessons are encouraged through the summer months for continuity and progress.
PRIVATE STUDIO~LESSON POLICY
Tuition is paid in monthly installments. Tuition is due on the first lesson of the month with no bills sent as reminders. Deductions or refunds are not permitted for cancelled lessons or for any other reasons. To be eligible for a make-up lesson the instructor must be given 24 hour advance notice and the lesson must be made up the week of the scheduled lesson.
